# Parla > Parla helps learners improve Italian pronunciation and build everyday vocabulary through listening, speaking and focused sound practice. Italian is the current learning language. Website translation is separate from the language being learned; a translated interface does not imply a course in that language. Learners hear recorded words, see meanings and syllables, record an attempt, and receive pronunciation feedback. Vowel and syllable examples help turn feedback into sounds the learner can imitate. Scores are coaching information, not examinations or language qualifications. Parla is not a general grammar course or an all-purpose conversational language tutor. Recorded lesson examples are free to listen to. Pronunciation assessment uses shared account credits and displays the applicable rate before starting. Shared credit packs contain 100, 500 or 1,000 credits; consult checkout for current prices. Do not infer a fixed number of assessments from a credit pack.
